BusinessOwnerAI was started by Mel Slabaugh, an entrepreneur in Shreve, Ohio. The idea is simple: make short, useful shows that answer the questions customers already ask, and send the viewers who need a pro straight to a local business that can do the job.

Home Hero is the first show. It answers the house problems homeowners search for most. When a job needs a pro, the homeowner asks for a free quote and a local business gets the request by text. Homeowners get a straight answer. Business owners get a customer who already wants the job done.

How we work

• Business owners first. Leads are exclusive, or shared with no more than 3 businesses, and never more than a crew can handle.
• Free quotes for homeowners. Every business that takes Home Hero requests gives a free quote.
• Honest about AI. Hank the Handyman and the show's scenes are made with AI, and every episode says so.
• Built to grow. Home Hero is for homeowners anywhere in the lower 48 states, and shows for other services are planned next.
